Upcoming Waltham Land Trust Events:

Sunday, September 10th, 1-3 PM - Smith Point Acquisition Celebration.  Join
us on the shore of Hardy Pond near Lazazzero Playground (Lake Street at
Shore Road) to celebrate the first land purchase by the Waltham Land Trust.
There will be a re-enactment of the deed transfer, games, refreshments and
music, plus kayaking to Smith Point. The Hardy Pond Association is

Sunday, September 24th, 1-3PM - Waltham Land Trust Shady's Pond Conservation
Area Walk.  Join us to explore the City's newest open space acquisition,
land formerly owned by Our Lady's Parish on Trapelo Road.  Shady's Pond
Conservation Area contains mature woods with a fern-covered floor, pine and
oak covered ridges, a pond and cattail marsh, and a cascading stream that
runs into Chester Brook Park.  Meet at the Northeast School, 70 Putney Lane.
