[WLT_Announcements] Reminder: WLT children's program and Community Preservation Committee Public Input hearing

Thursday 2/15 is the deadline to register for the February vacation program.
Details below.

Wednesday, February 21st, 10-11:30AM - Animals in Winter Children's Program.
When it's cold, icy and wet what do the animals do?  Come find out about
survival strategies and adaptations that help the wildlife of Massachusetts
live through the winter.  Find out more about mammals, birds and amphibians
and how they live -especially in winter.  Join staff from Mass Audubon's
Habitat Sanctuary for a vacation week program for children in grades K thru
5.  There will be two simultaneous sessions, one for grades K-2 and one for
grades 3-5.  Limit of 15 participants per session.  The program will be held
at Stonehurst, the Robert Treat Paine Estate, 100 Robert Treat Paine Drive,
Waltham.  The program will be both indoors and outdoors so boots and winter
clothing are recommended. Register by Thursday February 15th at 781-893-3355
or email kpatters at wathamlandtrust.org.  Suggested donation of $10/family -
but fee is not required to participate.  Co-sponsored by the Friends of
Stonehurst and the City of Waltham.

hearing. City Officials, the public and all interested parties are invited
to give their input on matters to be considered by the Community
Preservation Committee.
